Review Policy

For Readers:

Unless otherwise noted, any books I review I have purchased or borrowed from the library. If the publisher has sent me a book, I will note this. It does not affect the content of the review. Please also note that reviews and posts may include affiliate links.

For Publishers, Publicists, and Authors:

Please read through before submitting a request.

When I consider titles for review, I only accept requests from publishers and publicists. I am not open to reviewing self-published books, nor will I accept review requests directly from authors. Should I accept a title for review, I will only accept physical review copies unless otherwise requested. Please note I am located in Canada.

Whether I have requested the title or agreed to accept an unsolicited title, I cannot guarantee I will post a review. By accepting a title, I agree to consider it for review. I do my best to read all the books I accept, and review many of the books that I do. However, generally all books received will be mentioned in some way either here or on social media, such as in a round up or listicle.

I am happy to take part in blog tours, post guest posts, conduct author interviews, and/or host giveaways. However, I am not interested in participating in blitzes or anything readers may consider spam.

In very select cases, I may review things other than books. If your product relates to books or reading, or would benefit readers, I may consider it for review.

Before submitting a request, please have a look around Fuelled by Fiction to get a feel for the type of books or products that would fit.

Please do not make your request via social media. I will not respond. In your request via email, please include all book details—title, author, summary, release date, page count, etc. Please also include other relevant information like why you think the title is a good fit for Fuelled by Fiction and your desired timeline. Please keep in mind that I only consider requests well in advance.
