It’s the night of Elizabeth Valchar’s birthday. She and her friends are passed out in her parent’s yacht. In the middle of the night, Liz wakes up to a thumping noise coming from outside. When she goes to check things out, she discovers something that will change her life forever. What she finds out leads her to question her friends and her family, and–perhaps more importantly–herself.
It is hard to really describe the plot of the book without giving too much away. So I will leave it at that.
I picked this one up at the Coles annual book sale. I got it for $5.00! I’m really glad I decided to grab it! Although the premise was not entirely original, Warman did manage to keep me guessing and turning the pages! While I wasn’t completely in love with the book due to it’s slight lack of originality, I did thoroughly enjoy it. It was exciting and suspenseful–all the things you want from a good mystery novel.
