Let’s Recap: First Week of March

Hey guys,

I’ve decided to stat a new weekly feature that’s similar to a weekly wrap-up… but it’s not the same. I’m going to recap what’s going on in my life, especially my reading life.  I might mention the things that I’m reading/have read, but that’ s not going to be the main focus.

So let’s jump right into it, shall we?

The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy for me. I started a new job (it’s a second job, also at a library) and that’s been a bit stressful. Probably more stressful than necessary because, well, it’s me, and I have issues. My boyfriend, who conveniently lives out-of-province (sarcasm), also just got a new job, so he decided to come visit me before it started. So, I haven’t been reading very much and thus, haven’t been blogging very much. I scheduled a couple of posts, but nothing major. I also have filmed four or five BookTube videos that I have yet to edit. The fact that I have become addicted to Friends and have been binge-watching it has also not helped (THANKS A LOT, NETFLIX).

I’m still a newbie, and am trying to figure out what works best for me. I want to be consistent, but also original, and still have time to actually read books to talk about. You know? My problem is the follow through. I can come up with ideas, but then… I watch Friends instead (WHY ARE THERE SO MANY EPISODES? WHY IS IT SO FUNNY?).

Here are some of my struggles from this week:
  • Why oh WHY did I agree to review so many books this month?
  • New job? Write down the wrong schedule and not show up on the right day? Check and check.
  • What goes well with a good book? Coffee? Yes! Makes coffee. Pours coffee. Forgets about coffee. Reheats coffee. Forgets about coffee again. It’s a vicious cycle.
  • There are other things to do besides watch Friends? No joke?

What’s going on in your life?
