4 July New Book Releases I Can’t Wait to Get My Hands On

For a while I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and haven’t been keeping tabs on new releases. Or just any books in general really because I’ve been in a mood. Now, however, I’m getting back into the swing of things and I’ve been noting some books I’m really looking forward to! I’ve got plenty of summer days by the lake to fill with great books. Here are four awesome July new book releases I can’t wait to devour.

July New Book Releases

All Your Perfects by Colleen HooverAll Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover (July 17th, Atria)

I actually got an ARC of this one a little while back, so technically I already have my hands on it. However, I haven’t actually read it yet but I’m still really excited for a new CoHo book to be released into the world. CoHo is one of my all time favourite authors and I’m excited to see what everyone thinks of her latest. I somehow haven’t gotten around to reading it yet because it sounds on the sad side and I just haven’t been in the mood quite yet to tap into those emotions. I’m sure it’s super awesome though and it has definitely been one of my most anticipated released of 2018!

Baby Teeth by Zoje StageBaby Teeth by Zoje Stage (July 17th, St. Martin’s)

I’ve been hearing some intriguing things about this horror/thriller! Demonic/psychopathic children? I don’t even to know more than that. Just hell yes. So creepy. This sounds like an exciting thrill ride that’s perfect for the summer to keep you on your toes.

Dead Girls by Alice BolinDead Girls: Essays of Surviving an American Obsession by Alice Bolin (July 24th, William Morrow)

This sounds so far up my alley I’m dying: “Bolin illuminates our widespread obsession with women who are abused, killed, and disenfranchised, and whose bodies (dead and alive) are used as props to bolster a man’s story.” I need this essay collection in my life immediately. Like, I mean come on: “this collection challenges the narratives we create and tell ourselves, delving into the hazards of toxic masculinity and those of white womanhood.” GRABBY HANDS.

A Duke by Default by Alyssa ColeA Duke by Default (Reluctant Royals #2) by Alyssa Cole July 31st, Avon)

I read the first book in this series, A Princess in Theory, earlier this year and damn it was dope! As soon as I finished it, I couldn’t wait to get this one. A Duke by Default follows the best friend of the main character in the first book. I can’t wait to follow Portia’s story! She could be a bit of a hot mess in the first book and I’m excited to see where A Duke by Default takes her.
