Let’s Recap: Easter 2015 Edition!

Hey guys,

I hope everyone had an excellent long weekend! I had to work Saturday (boo), but I was off Monday (wee)! My boyfriend came for a visit and spent Easter weekend with me! It was very nice:) That’s why I haven’t posted in like a week. And why I’ve barely gotten any reading done as well! Apparently it’s rude and less fun when you just sit there and read when you are supposed to be a hostess. Who knew?

This past week Outlander has still been on my mind (and the theme song still in my head)! Even though I am positively swamped with review copies, I obviously had to toss the next Outlander book on top of that. This was interesting because it’s been a while since I read the first two books and for the life of me I couldn’t remember what happened in the last one. So before I began Voyager, I had to search up on the internet all the particulars. I’m about halfway through now (goodness, the book is ginormous). I’m really sad though. The TV series started up again this week, but my DVR didn’t record it! I made sure it was all set up properly (and it was as far as I can tell!), but for some reason it didn’t record! I’m so sour about that. I don’t know what to do about it. Is it just not going to record any of them or what??

I’ve also been reading Reunion of Ghosts for my upcoming stop on the book tour (April 17th) as well as listening to the audiobook of Just One Day! Right now I am having a really rough go of it with Reunion of Ghosts. I am just so not in the mood for that type of book 🙁 I just want to gobble up Voyager and Just One Day 🙁

Throughout Easter weekend, my boyfriend and I watched movies, played video games, and just hung out. It was awesome! We saw Kingsmen The Secret Service in the theatre, and watched The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Into The Woods on DVD. We played a lot of Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the 3DS. It had been so long since I had played it! Evan showed me neat little tips and tricks so that I had even more fun. I love the kind of games with cute little characters where you just roam around doing stuff.

On Easter Sunday, we had a lovely breakfast at my Church! There was so much food! It was great because my little nephew came with us and he is just the cutest. Later that day, we had a turkey dinner with my family. It was super delicious. Also, there was chocolate.
In my last recap, I mentioned that I was thinking about going to BEA—aka Book Expo America. I was really torn up about it, not sure what to do. My parents, my super awesome parents, decided that what the heck, they could use a trip to NYC too, and said they would go with me! So folks, it decided! I’m going to be at BEA this year (barring any weird, unforeseen circumstances, of course)! This is my first time both to BEA and NYC! I am so so so excited!

As we plan our trip, please send any useful tips, tricks, and advice my way! If you have any/know of any helpful BEA blog posts, please link them up. Also let me know what you think should be at the top of my to do and to see list!

What did you do this weekend? What have you been reading? Also, how awesome is New Leaf, amiright?
